A Message From Lisa…..

This has been so difficult to write as I never in my lifetime have had to go through such a scary and uncertain time, and how up to yet I have taken so much for granted, its definitely been a wake up call to me.

I closed the salon 2 weeks ago and put the girls on furlough, for how long ? No one knows, but hopefully we will be up and running again sooner rather than later. The juniors are keeping busy still training on line and doing their assessments, Sophie passes her maths exam which is fantastic. As of yet this has been a novelty for us, a normal working day for the girls is 9 hours standing, giving 100%to clients, with very little time for lunch and cups of tea, so it’s a refreshing change to being able to have a lie in and catch up on all those jobs we can never get round to doing,

I, for 1, have cleaned and got rid of anything that moves or looks untidy, including the dog my husband will be next, him working at home is definitely trying!! There may be lots of divorces after all this!!

However my heart goes out to those that are working so hard to keep our country running, the NHS, supermarket staff, the police, the list is endless, I have never been so proud to be British and my heartfelt thanks goes out to them all.

I would also like to thank all our clients for the continued support over the past 14 years and hopefully your hair is looking better than mine at the moment with 1 inch grey roots!!

If you have any questions regarding your hair please ask, one frequent question is about using home box colours, I’ve invested hundreds of pounds and time over the years on Goldwell product knowledge and training from the ingredients, colour wheel, application, processing times contraindications, colouring hair is a science, it’s a serious chemical process that should not be done at home.

If anyone is interested we can put some horrifying pictures on that are of people who have used home colour and it’s gone yellow, orange, green, sadly broken off and have spent hours of time and lots of money to get it back to a desired colour and reasonable condition, and this can’t be done overnight, so let’s embrace our grey roots, and the minute we open again we will be gagging at the bit for all those looking for a new colour, new style, new you!!

Lastly I would like to thank the beautiful girls that work at Hair @ number one, Holly, Chloe, Nikki, Immie, Sophie for their hard work and loyalty over the years, make the most of this downtime because as soon as this is over we are going to be working 24/7 !!Using gallons of colour and sweeping up lots of hair!!

Thank you for reading this, have a very happy Easter, please stay home, safe and well.

With all my love Lisa xx
